Q: What does the doctor specialize in?
A: Dr Ferguson has always been fascinated with the complex anatomy of the face and neck. Patients from all over the world have come to him for treatment of their neck. He developed a type of facelift, the Rapidlift, which dramatically decreases recovery time. As the first surgeon to perform SmartLipo in the United States, Dr. Ferguson has trained over 100 physicians and become one of the most experienced laserlipolysis providers in the world. Many of the techniques and equipment used were designed by him. Dr. Ferguson’s favorite procedure, however, is rhinoplasty, especially complex, previously operated-on noses for which he has earned an international reputation for dealing with this difficult problem.

Q: How long before I can go back to work (looking normal) after a facelift?
A: This really depends on the type of facelift performed which is determined by the amount of rejuvenation necessary. For a simple RapidLift, patients may be back to normal in 24-48hrs. More extensive lifts or those combined with other procedures may take up to a week. On rare occasions bruising can last 2 weeks. We have special makeup designed to cover this up. Giving you the best results with limited down-time is extremely important to us. We provide each patient with dietary and exercise instructs that can cut the recovery time in half.
