Our Doctor
Dr. Ferguson was born and raised in Dallas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin. Medical school followed at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He chose Otolaryngology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa to study facial plastics & reconstructive surgery under Ed and Richard Farrior. In 2003 John moved to Dothan, Alabama and soon started The FACE Clinic. By using state-of-the-art technology and recognizing that patients deserve minimal interruption to their daily lives, The FACE Clinic evolved into an international center for patient care. After years of plying the Caribbean and the beaches of Florida, Dr. Ferguson took a trip to Oahu and fell in love. In early 2009 Dr. Ferguson had the pleasure of meeting one of the true masters of plastic surgery, Dr. Robert Flowers. Within each other, they found kindred spirits who truly loved the beauty and artistry of their chosen profession. In May 2009, John took over The Flowers Clinic renaming it The Ferguson Clinic.
Dr. Ferguson is one of the only quintuple board-certified surgeons in the world obtaining certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head Neck Surgery, American Board of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, American Board of Laser Surgery, American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons. He was elected to the Board of Trustees of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgeons in 2016. Dr. Ferguson is also a frequent speaker and instructor at many national conferences as well as international cosmetic surgery courses.
